I've been a graphic designer for 20 years but fell in love with photography long before I even knew what graphic design was.  However, I put down my camera (film) for most  of those years when the demands of family and work took the majority of my time. ​

Recently, I decided to try my hand at it again.  I've had to relearn a lot of things, figure out how to use a digital camera vs. film and how to edit photos on a computer instead of the dark room.  Mostly I learned that I have a LOT more to learn!   I'm enjoying every minute of it though.  ​I usually shoot using natural light on location, however I love the look of portraits using both natural and artificial lighting and hope to be adding that to my style of photography very soon. ​

I live in Fayetteville, North Carolina along with my dog Gus (the best buddy ever!).  The majority of my pictures are shot in and around the downtown area.  For a small town, we have many beautiful and unique locations which I appreciate more and more everyday.  ​​
